Keep Your Finger on the 'Green Pulse'

This is the place to keep up with whatever is happening in Melbourne in terms of green events, expos, family days, and festivals.

Living in Melbourne means we're on the pulse from a number of local resources to let YOU know what's going on that's clean and green!

For international news try What's Hot, and you'll find green celebrity news at Green Celebrities.

Hurstbridge to Go Plastic Bag FREE!

Hurstbridge looks like becoming the first suburb in Melbourne to become a completely plastic-bag-free zone.

Local businesses have agreed to stop supplying plastic bags as of the 1st November, in a move that been two years in the making. Shoppers will be encouraged to bring their reusable bags or can pay 30c for a paper bag.

As a potential eco-tourism destination and a part of the 'Green Wedge', Hurstbridge can only further improve its image by taking the title of a plastic bag-free zone.
